50th Anniversary Schedule at DUT

Note: Dalian City Huai-Tree Festival follows the DUT anniversary, it is on May 24-25, many tourists will visit dalian for the festival.

1. Gifts for alumni:
CD-ROM/VCD on DUT, picture book, shirts, pens, memorial coins/pins, etc.

2. Invitation to overseas alumni:
All alumni are welcome to visit DUT during May 22-23. They must arrive on or before May 21. Please contact ODUT President Wang Xiao-gang (xiaogang_wang@uiowa.edu) if you decide to go. Hotel, food and transportation in dalian will be provided by DUT (if the number of participants is less than 30).

DUT Foreign Affair Office and departments will organize events for overseas alumni, such as tour of the city and the Economic Zone, high tech zone and Dalian Software Park (under construction).

If you want to go, please register with Wang Xiaogang so that  he can forward a name list to DUT for hotel arrangement.

3. Lectures by Overseas Alumni
- 2 Plenary lectures at university level (apply to Wang Xiaogang)
- other lectures at dept/school level (notify Wang Xiaogang)
we will inform DUT of the lecture details once decided

4. Alumni Story Book
They support the idea, but DUT officials need to check with DUT Press and send me an answer.

5. Organization Committee
There are about 180 people on the committee, about 10 are overseas alumni members include Liaoning Party Chief, Dalian mayor and DUT leaders.
