Advanced Reservoir Prediction & Analysis

This is a real-world case where Seiscriptor™ is applied to field data samples.  The service area is about 40 square kilometers offshore in Shengli Oil Field.  Before applying Seiscriptor™ to process field data, three wells (named TH-A2, TH-A5 and TH-A6) in this area had already been drilled, and they are called pre-drilled wells.  Two of these pre-drilled wells (TH-A2 and TH-A5) are highly productive (yield between 100 and 200 tons/day with more than 30 meters of accumulated oil strata in a 180-meter depth), while the third well (TH-A6) has very thin oil strata

Since the number of available pre-drilled wells was limited to 3, these pre-drilled wells could not provide enough information for controlling the overall reservoir area, nor for training models in supervised solutions..

By applying SOMA and integrating human expertise, the basic distribution of the reservoir was determined. According to this prediction, further parameter analyses were applied, and two new wells (TH-A51 and TH-A52) were suggested for drilling (see picture below). Actual drilling of these two proposed well proved that they were highly productive, and the predicted parameters (such as estimated porosity) are very close to the actual ones.
